The Studio Tour: Is Here

The Gallery: IS Here (under constructiones)

The Price: Effective March 2005 - $30 per hour

The Method:

Here is how a typical session goes at

The set up: Get everyone to the studio on time and in good spirits(optional). Load in, set up and start positioning mics. This time is not charged for each project*.

Tracking: Record as much as possible on the first take - up to 14 tracks lately.

Play Back: Time to review takes and pick the keepers. Very important step - helps to bring an independent ear along, or ask opinions of the gmg crew.

Overdubbing: Add a second guitar, lay down the vocals, play some mandolin or toy bells.

Mixing: By this time, the recording has probably been whipped into pretty good shape eq and effects-wise. What's needed is balancing levels...which can be a very delicate procedure.

Bouncing and Burning: I know this sounds like a lot of fun, but it's just mixing the tracks down to a stereo file and putting them on CD-R. Any payment is exchanged at precisely this point unless prior arrangements are made.
